What is Kids' Walk? The Relay for Life Kids' Walk is a fun filled celebration that takes place during the Rowan County Relay for Life. It is designed to allow young people (elementary age and younger) to get involved in the fight against cancer. This year the Kids' Walk is going to be better than ever, with The Charlotte Motor Speedway Fan Van! We will have face painting and corn hole. We are going to have a photo booth where kids can get their pictures taken with the Sweet Frog frogs, and the Chic-Fil-A cow!
When and Where is Kids' Walk? The Kids' Walk activities will be from 5-8:30 p.m. on May 2, 2014 at the Rowan County Fairgrounds. The actual walk around the track will take place at approximately 7 p.m.
How to Participate: There is a $10 registration fee to participate in the Kids' Walk, which includes participation in Kids' Walk activities (including games, face painting, tattoos, a photo booth, and more) and the walk around the track. Kids raising $25 or more will also get a t-shirt. The registration deadline for children to be guaranteed a t-shirt is March 30.
However, we will continue to register children through the start of the event. Day of event registration will be at the Kids' Walk booth. Children registering after the deadline (March 30) will not get a t-shirt.
Donations that children raise can be turned in Thurs., May 1 from 5-8 p.m. at the fairgrounds, or at Relay for Life (May 2) at the Kids' Walk booth. Please turn in money in an envelope with your child's name and the team name he or she wants it credited toward.
The boy and girl who collect the most donations will be named Little Mr. and Miss Relay.
Children may select which Relay team their Kids' Walk donations are credited towards (such as their school, church, or any other team).

Please click "Sign Up." On the right side, under New Particpants, go to "Join a Team" and scroll down to select "Kids Walk." You will follow the online instructions to register your child.
*Please note online registration says participants must raise $100 for a t-shirt. Kids' Walk participants need to raise $25 to receive a t-shirt, not $100.
**If your child has already joined a Relay team, please just give us a call, email us, or let us know on Facebook and we will add the name to our list. Your child will still be a Kids Walk participant--he/she does not need to register for Relay twice.
